PATH TO ZION PODCAST
Path To Zion explores the rediscovery of the Ancient Way that has been abandoned, forgotten or simply missed (in Its fullness) by mainstream Christianity. The host, Joel Spencer, speaks from a ”Hezekiah call” to declare to the Christianity of this age that there has been a Way already carved out, ready to be walked along by any who will follow the Firstborn Of Many Brethren, Yeshua Messiah (Jesus).

In between Zechariah chapters 7 and 8, we see Yahweh seemingly have a change of heart towards His rebellious, hard-hearted People. Why? Let's find out and learn more about Who He is.

This episode is merely some commentary that spilled over out of some prayer time today as I asked my Mediator Messiah, "How in the world did You do it?!" (In reference to denying Himself for His entire life.) Oh, the beauty of Father's mercy and forgiveness!

The series wraps up with examining why Moses responded the way that He did to the children of Israel worshiping the golden calf and, specifically, dancing around in front of it. As always, Yahweh shows Himself merciful and full of grace as He gives the tablets again, written by His own hand. And then, so many years later, He sends His Son, Yeshua, to extend another invitation into His covenant, in order to redeem our idolatry and rebellion.

In this installment we move from Acts 17 and begin to dig into the events of Exodus 32. I'll propose that one of the main issues of idolatry within the golden calf incident was that it was used to ascribe worship to Yahweh. We'll begin to explain the purpose of the title, as it is no coincidence that the people "broke off their earrings" in order to fashion the carved image.

Beginning in Acts chapter 17, we begin to set the table that Christianity as a whole has been guilty of erecting altars to an "Unknown God." In this part we'll begin to present the idea that one can be guilty of idolatry even when attempting to attribute worship to Yahweh, in ignorance, via traditions and religiosity.

After some time of crying out unto Yahweh for mercy today, I felt compelled to compile several verses and challenge you to consider doing likewise. We must humble ourselves *today* to be ready for what is coming tomorrow.

The series concludes as we continue to look at the events of Daniel chapters one and two. Are we preparing our inner man to be set and marked so that we will respond like Daniel, with "discretion and discernment"? Friends, most of us are entirely unprepared to rightly endure persecution, trial and tribulation. We must prepare now and be purposed in our hearts.

This part of the series continues in the first three books of Daniel. Is it right for us to read the account of the "fiery furnace" and just assume that we too will be delivered in like manner? What does it biblically mean to "purpose in our hearts" and how do we do that *now* in order to prepare for what is coming?

Using events in Daniel chapters one through three, we'll present patterns of how we can be assured that we'll be set and marked in the imminent trials that are before us. Part 1, specifically, asks the questions - what defiles a man today, is it even possible and does it matter in light of our preparedness for what is coming?

Psalm chapter 140 is a cry for protection from enemies that are "violent" and "evil." This episode is meant to cause us to examine ourselves to be absolutely sure that we are on the "right side" of the issue at hand. What does it mean to be upright? If we're presuming that we are, we must know. This is a warning to the distracted Church of 2021.
