In between Zechariah chapters 7 and 8, we see Yahweh seemingly have a change of heart towards His rebellious, hard-hearted People. Why? Let's find out and learn more about Who He is.

The series wraps up with examining why Moses responded the way that He did to the children of Israel worshiping the golden calf and, specifically, dancing around in front of it. As always, Yahweh shows Himself merciful and full of grace as He gives the tablets again, written by His own hand. And then, so many years later, He sends His Son, Yeshua, to extend another invitation into His covenant, in order to redeem our idolatry and rebellion.

In this installment we move from Acts 17 and begin to dig into the events of Exodus 32. I'll propose that one of the main issues of idolatry within the golden calf incident was that it was used to ascribe worship to Yahweh. We'll begin to explain the purpose of the title, as it is no coincidence that the people "broke off their earrings" in order to fashion the carved image.

Beginning in Acts chapter 17, we begin to set the table that Christianity as a whole has been guilty of erecting altars to an "Unknown God." In this part we'll begin to present the idea that one can be guilty of idolatry even when attempting to attribute worship to Yahweh, in ignorance, via traditions and religiosity.

After some time of crying out unto Yahweh for mercy today, I felt compelled to compile several verses and challenge you to consider doing likewise. We must humble ourselves *today* to be ready for what is coming tomorrow.

Are we preparing our inner man to be set and marked so that we will respond like Daniel, with "discretion and discernment"? Friends, most of us are entirely unprepared to rightly endure persecution, trial and tribulation. We must prepare now and be purposed in our hearts.

This episode is meant to cause us to examine ourselves to be absolutely sure that we are on the "right side" of the issue at hand. What does it mean to be upright?
