Did you know that, biblically, there are two types of wisdom? One "comes down from above" and the other is "earthly, natural, demonic." We must slow down and filter all matters of life through the wisdom criteria of the Word.
How do we govern our lives according to the overreaching counsel of heavenly wisdom and avoid what is earthly and natural? Let us not think too highly of ourselves and presume that we always know the difference.

In Psalm 106 we read of David recounting the events of Numbers chapter 11. The children of Israel have been delivered and set free from Egyptian slavery, but quickly forget the works of the Most High. The grumbled and put YHWH to the test in the wilderness. He gives the people their request, but also "sends leanness into their soul."
This series will help us consider how we can learn to avoid repeating this cycle in our own lives.

The Spiritual Man Subjects Himself to the Law

Romans chapter 8 tells us that a man whose mind is set on the flesh is literally incapable of subjecting himself to the Law of the Most High. If we believe the Word, It also tells us that this man cannot please the Creator.
So the question posed to all of us is simple: Are we a spiritual man who lives according to the Spirit or a natural/fleshly man that goes his own way, unwilling not submit to Father's Law?

Commandments or Traditions?

The Greek word for "traditions": paradosis - a giving up and giving over, often by word of mouth or in writing; instruction, via tradition.
Messiah regularly brought a judgment against the non-believing teachers of the Law. One that said they had "set aside, done away with and disregarded" Yahweh's commandments for the sake of their man-made doctrinal traditions.
