Surrendering Our Identity

lf we were honest, we would readily admit that it's hard to truly abandon our identity and personal image. But what if we could more readily abandon our drive to self-defend and justify? What if we walked away from the endless laboring to "make ourselves clear" in order to be rightly heard and understood? Today we'll attempt to break away a bit more from self.

The short series continues and concludes here as we continue looking into biblical counsel and instruction as we approach entitlement and national freedoms. Is the Church readily postured to confess Her own double standards and hypocrisy? Will this election (and what lies ahead for this nation) continue the Church's arrogance and haughtiness or will We be found as ones Who "will lead a peaceful, quiet, godly and dignified life", as Scripture instructs? There is hope for Us if - if - we will humble ourselves.

As the election draws near, I (somewhat reluctantly) felt compelled to post a 2-part video series challenging wide-way Christian America's face of arrogance and elitism. We'll look at many Scriptures calling Us up higher and forcing us to examine our character, as well as the character of our leaders. Is the Church willing to examine Her ways and humble Herself as we move into another election? I hope and pray that She will. If you have an open mind and a tender heart, please consider watching.

Who's Mighty Deeds?

As all of us attempt to find our way, we must be careful to be found as ones who boast in the mighty deeds of Yahweh Elohim alone. Our "filthy rags" righteousness is not our identity, value or reputation. Any good thing in us is a gift from the Father and is not by our own doing. This episode will cause you to sit back and analyze what righteousness you are mentioning, wherever you are in your journey. (Text used: Psalm 71:16)

Good News: Not Just A New Testament Reality

I feel that it would do us well to question our understanding of when the "Good News" began. Was it at the outset of Emmanuel? At the Cross? Perhaps at the Resurrection? Surely at the Upper Room, right? No. It is ancient and Yahweh has been extending Good News to mankind since their inception. As we're willing to expand our view, we expand our understanding of Yahweh's great love for us.

When Our Enemies Flee In Terror

The Book of Jasher records an event when the Amorite kings desire to assault the sons of Jacob for what they did to the city of Shechem. They literally wanted to annihilate the Hebrew people entirely and were conspiring a plan to do just that. What transpired is fascinating and is recorded in Jasher. In this episode I read an entire chapter and discuss what it is saying to the Church of 2020.

Waiting Patiently

This episode examines Psalm 40:2 which has many layers of awesome truth within it. What does it even mean to "wait patiently" and what is God doing when "He turns toward us and hears our cry?" Listen and find out!

Idolatry and Disgusting Practices

This episode discusses the warning from God to His people in Ezekiel 14:6. He commands His Church to repent and turn away from Her idolatry and abominations. What does this mean for us today? Are we ourselves guilty of the same practices? I will answer this for you - yes. Yes, we are. So what do we do about it? (We'll even briefly touch on unclean animals being eaten as food.)

Seeking Favor Of Men Or Favor Of God?

All about me, in this hour, I see the constant struggle of men laboring alongside other men to endure, within the Body of Messiah. Within the account of the golden calf (Genesis 32) and Paul's reference of pleasing men (Galatians 2:10), I believe we see some things that can help us rightly carry out our roles, in humility, as we venture into the future of being God's people.

Willingness To Serve

In the latter chapters of Genesis we see Jacob's incredible pursuit of Rachel. For fourteen years he surrendered his own life in order to have her as his wife. Even after he was deceived, he remained - unmoved. In our culture today, this is absolute foolishness - working and laboring in order to attain something our heart desires. I think it would do us well to revisit this principle. Are we, today, willing to serve and give up our very lives in order to pursue pure desires and have all that God has for us?
